Ramp2024 Reviews Part XVI
Here's Ramp2024 and here's an index of all the reviews so far.. Technically I think I missed one, but I can't figure out which one it is. This is the last post of the project! What a delight it was. Wait, what do you mean they did it in 2025 too?!?

The Library of Hell by Ash4ash
BJ killed Hitler but Doomguy said "that's not enough, I'm goin to hell to kill him again!!!" I laughed as soon as I started coming across the Nazis in hell. Loved it. And, quite shockingly, I ran out of ammo exactly, exactly, as I reached the exit switch! How can I say that it's too hard or too easy when literally my last bullet goes into Hitler and then, without elaborating, I leave. 5/5
The Rizzler's Quarters by CrazedCleric
A really interesting map - big swarms in tight quarters, but there's just enough cover in those long corridors to make it possible. Nicely done, a very different feel from most DooM maps. Extremely polished presentation. The one misstep is the frickin' cyberdemon duo at the end that are mandatory kills. Cmon, just let me leave. Or make bypassing them a puzzle. Or just have me fight one. It really left a bad taste in my mouth for what was a fantastic map. 4.5/5
The Tritemporal Principles by racingstripeAV
One of the better Portal-a-like DooM maps out there - more than once I think I caught it slipping out of its conceit. Things shouldn't happen backwards in time, right? Anyway, with some polish it could be a real classic. 4 stars.
Untitled Temple of the Spider Map by Casssss
A pleasure, just one trick after another, but with a warm music track that makes the whole thing have an oddly friendly feel. The one part that doesn't quite work is tying leaving the "exit maze" to the killing of the archvile. I couldn't even find the guy the first time through! 3.5 stars.
Triple Cross by Laika42
What an absolute delight! There's lots of "six little level" maps out there, few do such an exceptional job of balancing, making each a unique style, putting little discoveries and hints throughout the map, and ending with a belly laugh of a climactic showdown. This truly is one of the best maps of the jam, and one of my favorites of all time. 5 stars.
Toxic Depths by HiRon
LMAO. Okay, man. DNR.
Touch the Stimpack by Clippy Clippington
Just a little too much RNG with that number of cyberdemons. If it was just two, or even three, you could manipulate them a little bit more. The whole rest of the swarms kinda fall into that category too. I could almost manage them if they were just eased off about ten percent. Other than that, I rally like the way that the stimpack locks show what areas you're unlocking. 3/5
Trimming the Hedges by wrsw
A fascinating new mechanic lends this exceptional map replayability and a new kind of DooM strategy. A real innovative find. I just wish the hedges weren't so, uh, blank. 4.5/5
Tinsel's Dying Laptop's Last Message by Tinsel
Thanks, Tinsel. DNR
Touch It by Clippy CLippington
While I was amused by the use of the buttons (and button textures) once you're off the first island things just aren't as fun. The first island was enough tight space, you don't need to be tighter! 3.5/5
Zone 1600 by ONETAPPYBOI
Nicely arranged, especially given the themes and lighting of each branch from each hub. Though I did feel that the double archvile attack at the end was pretty dirty pool. 4/5
